########################################################################### # # # protracker/digiboosterpro mods by substance (substance@amigascne.org) # # ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ # # # # thanks for your time and interest towards my music. there have already # # been a nice variety of my modules available in aminet and this same # # collection that also used to be in amigascne.org. unfortunately it was # # lost during the amigascne crash a couple of years ago. # # # # the history for these mods begin from the year 1993. as i started # # making music with my amiga in 1989 but i'm very unfortunate to not # # have anything left from that period on my harddisk. i started making # # music with a program called oktalyzer and used it all the way 'til # # 1992/1993. i've lost all those plus also some protracker ones due to # # those awful disk validating problems on amiga 500. it's sad, but still # # i am very grateful to even have these left. # # # # therefor i present today, almost all of my mod and xm material that i # # still have on my harddisk and which aren't copyrighted to commercial # # or similar purposes. they have been made either with protracker, # # mostly before the year 1998 when i bought digiboosterpro, or with # # dbpro ever since that. apart from these, there are also some traks in # # the digiboosterpro's native format dbm. there is an exception on those # # and i've definately not uploaded all of them because the dbm's i # # mainly compose these days are either meant for copyrighted purposes or # # then just simply are too big to be put on here (mostly 3-15mb). i've # # drawn a line on ~2mb size and again, on those which are copyrighted to # # games, films, tv and such. # # # # at the time of the first upload this collection consists of almost 445 # # protracker modules, 46 xm's and 16 dbm's by me in total, from which of # # over 400 have been composed completely by me. the rest of the mods # # were mostly composed by me and dj nasley and are from the time when we # # used to play live at various rave parties, these common projects are # # 'prime time' and 'samuel & nasley'. though i'm not ready to share the # # 'samuel & nasley' archives just yet since i've still got other uses # # for them, but those 'prime time' mods are in their own directory for # # easy notification. however, i have made a few co-op's with other # # people too, but there are so few of those that you'll find them out by # # listening and reading the sample infos. as this collection is close to # # complete you shouldn't expect every track to be good, but i hope # # you'll still enjoy the variety of all kinds of music styles. # # # # eventhough i haven't officially quit the scene yet, i don't have that # # much time or motivation to write music with trackers anymore and thus # # decided to share my mods as freeware to people. i made this decision # # because my time with the scene is decreasing all the time, and by this # # i wanted to give motivation to the new generation of tracker musicians # # who are still fighting their way to get known better in the community. # # i hope that you also respect the copyrights and don't put the material # # on any other media or play them in public without my agreement. i also # # hope that amiga will have many years ahead, and even if it dies some # # day, it'll be in minds of all the wonderful people who made it once so # # great and popular computer. # # # # sincerely yours, substance (www.amigascne.org/substance) # # # ###########################################################################
